９日目 in １０日間教育（停電はつらいよ。）
9日目
今日は太陽光発電システムの概要について教えました。
本来なら学校で実施したい教育とそれに伴う消費電力を考えてもらうと思っていましたが、
一昨日、校長のベンさんから「家にソーラーシステムを導入するので見に来て」とのことで視察した際、教育に使える興味深い写真が色々撮れたので今日はそのシステムを元に概要を説明をしました。
The ninth day
Today I talked about overview of solar energy system.
Originally, I wanted the teachers to imagine their solar education in this school and calculate the consumption of the electricity.
However, 2 days ago, I could get a good chance to see Ghanaian solar system work on the principal’s house.
I took some interesting pictures and showed them to check their works that need some improvement.

実は今日も朝6時から停電で、使っているパソコン部屋にあったUPSをかき集め（UPS：停電時の補助バッテリー）、無理やりプロジェクターにつなぎ、講義しましたが、UPS１つあたり3分しか持たず。
UPSが消えたら違うUPSにつなぎ変え、ホワイトボードで補足説明、プロジェクターが付いたらまた説明と駆け足で説明していきました。
結局、UPSを全部使っても足りなくて、最後まで説明しきれず。
（太陽電池教育の頃合いを見計らって、ディープサイクルバッテリーとインバーターで電源補助システムを組みます。）
そんなこともあって、
「タカ!申し訳ないけどこの内容で明日もう一度やってくれないか。さすがに明日は電気が来るだろうし。あとプレゼンの印刷物がほしい」
というわけで、明日は今日の分の再説明と、できなかった分の説明を足そうかと思います。
そして「明日が一応10日目ということでいったん終了。次の講義は来週初めの3月2日（月）はどう？」と所属長に提案したところ
「期末試験と入学試験の準備をしないといけないので先生方は皆忙しい。4月中頃の長期休み明けからにしてくれ」とのこと。
一ヶ月半もたてば、忘れる人が出てくるから、これはあまり好ましくはないなぁ。
この件は学校長には話してあって、あとで所属長と話はすると言ってくれました。
By the way, we could not use electricity in day time today, so I collected some UPS in the computer room to use a projector.
However, the capacity of each battery was only 3 minutes for projector, so I exchanged UPS several times and then drew some information on marker board until UPS became in work.
Eventually, I could not finish today's content.
Some teachers said to me
"I'm sorry to say that you should teach same contents tomorrow, probably we can use electricity. Also I want you to prepare handout of this slideshow."
I will talk same contents and add some extra information tomorrow.
At the end of the class, I asked them, "Tomorrow is 10th day of this solar class. This Wed, Thu, Fri are no class. Can we start 2nd 10 days class on March 2?", but the head teacher replied, "We will become busy because we have to prepare for term examination and entrance one. Please shift the date to the beginning of next term."
I thought it's not good because some teachers might forget the contents in 1.5 months.
After the class, I visited the principal's office, then talked this suggestion to the principal, BEN.
He told me that he would discuss the schedule for this solar education class with the head.

僕としては、ソーラーシステムの視察に行きたい（少し観光したいのを含む）のと、次の教育段階に進むための準備をする必要があるので、学校の長期休み中はある程度の休みは欲しいところ。
また、一部の若手の先生からは、その期間中にいろいろ技術を教えてほしいという話を聞いているので、その先生方には特別クラスを開いて集中特訓しようと思っています。
今日は9日間の中で一番盛り上がりました。
活発な意見が出て、やっぱり先生方は皆ソーラーシステムには興味があるとわかったので、明日は皆の意見をより引き出せる一番の授業にしたいものです。
Actually, during school vacation, I want to get some holidays to go and see solar energy system in Ghana, including some sightseeing, and prepare for the advanced solar class I will teach next.
Fortunately, some teachers want to take my extra class in the school vacation.
Today is one of the best classes in these 9 days.
They gave many excited questions and I recognized all of them were interested in solar system.
I want to improve this class by getting more interesting questions from teachers!
