10日目

今日は絶好の最終日日和。そして電気もクレジットを追加してくれたおかげで普通に使える！
というわけで、最終日。今までの復習として、外でソーラーパネルの配線の仕方をテストしました。
先生方みなワイワイしながら配線してくれました。


10th day

The climate was the best for the last day of the solar system class. It was clear sky!!
I asked them to wire the simple solar system that I prepared as the last review test.
They were interested in wiring system.

充電コントローラーのランプが光ると「電気がきてる！」とまるで子供のようにはしゃぐ先生もいて、講義をしてよかったな、とちょっと安心した瞬間でした。

配線テストが終わったところで、第一シリーズ１０日間の最終講義。
９日目の講義で実施した校長宅のソーラーシステムのスライドに今後改善すべき箇所、バッテリーの使用電流について等のスライドを追加し、説明。

「パネルの上が汚れたらどうなるんだ。」等の話も出て、システムメンテナンスの話につなげる等、今日も活発な意見が出ました。


When the LED on the board turned on, a teacher said to me with smile, "Hey Taka, Light comes!!".
He was like a kid in a candy store, and I was glad that they enjoyed my lecture.

After finish wiring, I started to give a presentation that included some additional contents like improvement point of the solar system installed on the principal's house, the way to use battery electricity and so on.

"When some dust are put on the surface, does it reduce the power?", I replied with maintenance method.
We were able to have an active discussion at the last class.

ただこの日午後3時50分、講義終了残り10分というところで停電が発生。
UPS（補助バッテリー）の残り分で駆け足で説明し、なんとかプレゼンを終了することができました。

最後に先生、生徒にとってのこの学校の不満点、不具合について考えてもらうことを次の講義シリーズまでの宿題としました。
そのアイデアの中からコスト面、有用性の上で採用できそうなものを皆で選び、学校の教育用ソーラーシステムに反映していければと思っています。

ただ、学校の予算の問題もありますので、収益性、持続性を含め今後考えていく必要があります。

そんな次回のシリーズは来月開催を考えていたのですが、所属長から次シリーズは長期休み明けの4月中旬にしてほしいとの依頼が。
3月は先生たちが皆試験の準備、採点で忙しく、そしてその後、3週間の長期休暇になることがその理由なんだとか。

「ただでさえ初心者の彼らが1.5ヶ月も講義が空いたら内容を忘れてしまう。
でも本業優先であるため仕方がないかな。」

と思っていたところ嬉しいことに、もっと技術を学びたいという若手の先生が数人おり（8日目に載せたグラフの上位グループ）、太陽電池の講義ができないならスライドの作り方を教えてほしいとのこと。
ここで太陽電池講義で使用していたスライドを利用すれば、太陽電池についても忘れないので一石二鳥！

そんなプロジェクターを使ったスライドの作成講義は来週3/2の月曜日から開始予定。
ただし、電気が使える場合に限るので不定期開催かなぁ。


Only bad thing at the class was that the light went out at 3:50pm, 10 minutes left to close the lecture.
Before a small UPS died, I had managed to finish the lecture briefly.

At last, I asked them to imagine inconvenient or uncomfortable things for students and teachers in this school as homework by the next education series.
At the education series, we will select some good ideas and apply for the solar education system in this school.

Of course, to arrange it be a best buy, we need to consider profitability and sustainability in this school.

At first, I wanted to start that new series in next week, the beginning of March, but the head teacher suggested me to start in the middle of April due to their preparation for a term-end test and an entrance examination for new students, and their 3 week vacation starting after the examinations.

"Now they got a basic solar energy system in 10 days and if I don't teach them for 1.5 months, they will forget the basic and I will have to teach it again!!"
It is teacher's business to concentrate on their work…

Actually, some motivated young teachers told me that they wanted to learn how to organize PowerPoint slide show.
They gave me a chance. If I teach PowerPoint with handout that I used in the solar class, they will not forget the solar class and get a powerpoint ability, as it were, "Kill two birds with one stone."

I will start that PowerPoint class with projector on March 2 on the condition that we have electricity.
