　さて、今回は私たち（僕と先生方）の考えている太陽光発電プロジェクトについてお話ししましょう。

　日本であれば学校の屋上などに太陽光発電システムを設置し、学校に電力供給。となるわけですが、ここは発展途上国ガーナ。大きなシステムは費用が高額のため学校の予算が足りません。

　そこで、今回のプロジェクトでは最初は小さな発電システムとし、これを徐々に大きくしていく、すなわち「拡張」できることがよいかと考えています。

　これを実現するため、私たちは太陽光発電システムをもつ”サービスショップ”を赴任先の学校に作ることを計画しています。

　この店ではシステムで得られた電気を用いて生徒に向けたサービスを行い、そこで得られた利益を太陽光発電システムの増強やメンテナンスに使うことができます(Business)。

　また、システムの保守も校内にあるためそのまま生徒の学習に使用できます。(Education)。

　そして、国内には太陽光発電のスペシャリストもいるため、技術者の連携をとることもできます。(Nation)

　これらをまとめると”Business Education and Nation Project” 略して ”BEN　PROJECT”となります。赴任先の学校の校長先生の名前もBENなのでピッタリです。

At This time, I will post about our solar project.

Speaking of the solar energy education, if we were in Japan, we might install big solar energy system on the roof of the school with a large amount of money. However, we are in Ghana, a developing country. Due to the lack of school budget, we cannot install a big solar energy system.

Therefore, we need to install a small system at first, and then make it bigger gradually.

On this volunteer work, we are thinking about opening a small campus shop in our school. In this shop we can provide some service, using electricity from solar energy system and get profit to maintain and extend the system. In addition, students can learn how to maintain a solar system through the system at the shop. Moreover, we can contact with other solar system specialists in Ghana for sharing information.

Summarizing the above ”Business Education and Nation Project”, for short, BEN Project. The name of the principal at this school is Ben, too. I think it sounds very nice.

考え出すといろんな可能性がありワクワクしてしまう、このプロジェクト。

2/9の月曜（今日！）から先生方に、この教室で基礎的な授業を開始するところから始まります。

最終目標は高いところにありますが、学校の先生方と地道に頑張っていきます。

進捗は適宜更新していきますのでお楽しみに！
