授業第１シリーズが終わって。
さて、先週で講義も一通り終わり、週末はガーナ協力隊の機関誌打ち合わせ（機関誌については追々お話ししますね）。
そして月曜から教室でプレゼンの講義をしようと待っていましたが誰も来ない。
なんでかな、と思って電子工学科の建物に戻ると加工ルームから何か音がする。
Last week, I finished my first solar education course and attended a meeting about a season bulletin of our Ghana volunteers in weekend (I will post about this bulletin later).
And today I opened my class room at 3 o'clock but no one came!
I locked the door and went back the department to check their situation.
When I passed a workshop, I heard some voice and sound there so I dropped into the room.

ふと入ると先生2人がボール盤（穴を開ける機械）で加工中。
聞くと、建築学科の先生達からシーリングファン（天井ファン）を高い天井に取り付けるためのパイプ加工依頼を受けたのだとか。
There were two teachers doing some works with a drilling machine.
According to their apology, BC (building and construction) department teachers asked them to do machining operation for a ceiling fan that would be installed on high ceiling.

そして、その先生は申し訳なさそうに、水曜まで授業後にこのような他の科の仕事が入ってしまったから木曜からでもいいかな、との返答。
もちろんOKしました！
さて、ソーラーの講義が終わっていろいろ考えました。
というのは最終日に話した、「先生、生徒にとってのこの学校の不満点、不具合について考えてもらう」という中身に対し、「なぜそれをここで聞くのか、その意図が理解できないので説明してほしい」と、とある先生から質問があり、例として「生徒達が安定的に電気を使え、停電しても勉強に集中できる部屋」との説明をしたところ、先生方の皆が同調してくれたこと。
もともと考えていたBENプロジェクトのBはビジネスであり、学校が自立的に収益を上げるモデルの１つとして、生協のようなショップを学校に設け、そこで電気を用いたサービスを提供できればと考えていました。
でも、果たしてそれはこの学校に適するのか、そして求められているのか。
ガーナの学校では、下級生は上級生の命令に絶対従うという風潮があります。
もしも上級生が下級生に命令し、下級生がショップで上級生のための買い物をし、それがトラブルで生徒内の問題事案に発展したら。
きっとそのショップは閉鎖されてしまうでしょう。
それよりも、学校の生徒みんなにとってより勉強ができる環境を整備し、安定的な教育体制を作る方がよいのではないか。
そして、それをうたい文句にして宣伝すれば生徒数も多くなり、結果学校の収益につながっていく。
今、そんなことを考えつつ、活動の到着点を探っています。
He asked me to re-open the presentation class on this Thursday apologetically because they got 3 days' work after school.
I replied it's OK!
By the way, I thought a lot after the first course because when I asked them to imagine inconvenient or uncomfortable things for students and teachers in this school as homework, one of the teacher replied "Why are you asking that thing now? I cannot understand your intent, please explain in detail."
I gave an example like a special room that students can concentrate on their study with stable electricity, without light off happening.
Almost all teachers agreed with my idea and I closed the lecture with gratitude.
Originally, telling about BEN project, I thought that B means "business" such as a shop that provide electricity service like charging mobile phone battery, serving cold food for students and teachers to earn profit by school itself.
However, do they want this kind of service from their heart?
In Ghana ,there is a traditional habit that young students obey senior students' order definitely.
If a senior student forces a young student to buy something at the shop and that become a big trouble among students, the shop will be closed by parents and teachers.
Instead of such buisiness, it is more important to improve the education environment at the department first with stable electricity, I mean solar system, isn't it?
In addition, we can use this good education environment as a catchphrase in school advertising and the number of students must want to enter this school!
I keep considering the true mean of "B" in this project.
I don't have to stick to the letter B but the sound "BEN project", the principal's name, is suitable for advertising this school!!
