第２回ソーラークラブ開幕！
日本はすっかり秋から冬に向かっているところと思いますが、こちらガーナはまだまだ暑いですよー。
といっても基本年中ずっと暑いです。
Now in Japan, the temperature changes from hot to cool, then cold but it’s hot in Ghana!! It’s warm all year around.
さて、第2回のソーラークラブですが、無事はじまりました。
今回のクラブは、２日構成。
1日目に前回のクラブに来てくれた生徒に対して先生の説明があり、
その説明を翌日新しく来る生徒に、生徒が説明。
そして先生が答えられない専門的な質問が出されたら、それを僕がフォローするという形にしています。
By the way, the 2nd batch of solar club started without any trouble.
At this time, we follow “2 days” period education.
At the first day, the teacher reviews the contents of the club for students who attended ex-solar club
then next day, the students teach the content to new club students.
In case the teacher and the students can’t answer some technical questions from students at the club, I help and answer them.
ラッキーなのはここ最近、午前中の停電があまりなくてプロジェクターが使えること。
しかし、電気はあってプロジェクターがあっても、生徒の説明が「大雨」でほとんど聞こえないというハプニングがあったりしました。
Fortunately we can use a projector at the club because of recent stable electricity.
On the other hand, due to the heavy rain in solar club time, sometimes it’s difficult to hear student’s voice.
この「大雨」ですが日本では雨といえば1日中曇りで、
振ったりやんだりということが多いと思いますが、ここガーナでは夕立が多いです。
Speaking of rainy day, it clouds for a whole day and rains off and on in Japan
but evening shower is common in Ghana.
朝カンカン照りだったのが昼4時から5時ころに急に黒い雲が東からやってきて
大雨がザーーーっと降り、30分程度降ったら止んで、また太陽が出る。
ここ数日その繰り返しで、これが活動時間にかかるからタチが悪い。（笑）
そして朝に手洗い洗濯をして干しても、昼に学校から家まで取り込みに帰らないと
せっかく乾いたのに雨でまたびしょびしょになってしまうわけです。
In the morning, it is often fine day but about 4:00pm to 5:00pm, some big rain cloud come from east
then it rains a lot about 30 minutes. After that it stops raining and sun appears.
These days it often happens, so this hard rain noise prevents students from hearing the lecture.
I have to go back my home in the afternoon in case I wash and dry cloths in the morning, otherwise my clothes get soaked.
そして聞くところによれば、生徒の選抜方法は前回同様、成績の良い生徒から順番に選んでいるので、
高い成績を取れば太陽電池クラブに参加できる。
というわけで、学生間で勉強する意欲が高まっているとのこと。
And I heard from the solar club teacher
that the motivation of students’study become higher and higher
because if they get high scores in exam, they can get right to attend solar club.
We still select solar club students in order of merit due to the club room capacity.
さらなる学習のために勉強するという姿勢はいいことだなーと感じています。
I feel it’s very good trend to catch their heart not food and money
but higher level education.
