VOLUNTEERS 協力隊員
「お疲れ様」、そして「ようこそ」。
週末は2年の任期を終えた方々の出国見送りでドミトリーに行きました。
ガーナの協力隊は3月末、6月末、9月末が2年の活動任期の節目になっています。
彼らは2年のガーナでの活動を終え、日本に帰っていきます。
日本に帰ったら温泉行きたいなぁ、卵かけご飯が食べたいな、という話を聞きつつ、日本の生活を懐かしく感じました。
（こちらの卵は熱を加えないと食中毒になる可能性があります。）
そんな今までお世話になった人達がいなくなってしまうさみしさと、また新たに赴任する協力隊メンバーに会える楽しみ。
そんな複雑な気持ちを抱え一週間を過ごします。
In this weekend, I visited our dormitory in Accra to see off the volunteers who finished their 2 year work and went back Japan.
In Ghana, the end of March, June, and September are the events which mark the stages of volunteer's activity, I mean farewell and welcome for volunteers.
They finished all their activity in Ghana.
"When I arrive at Japan, I want to go to hot spring, have rice and raw egg with soy source and..."
I heard the things that they want to do in Japan and felt nostalgia for Japan.
Actually, raw egg in Ghana is in danger of food poisoning so we have to heat egg enough before having.
I must spend this week with complicated feeling, both loneliness, loss of the volunteers who helped me out, and pleasure, gain of new members.

話は変わりますが、
その新しく来られるボランティアの中には、あるシニアの方が含まれています。
シニアボランティアとは青年海外協力隊とは違い、40歳以上の方が応募できるボランティア活動で、その活動内容も専門的な部分に特化しています。
実は、その方は僕の赴任先の学校にとてもゆかりのある人。
校長先生のベンさんも彼に「再会」できるのを心待ちにしています。
そう彼は去年の流行語を借りるなら、まさに「レジェンド協力隊員」というべき人。
「3/28にドミトリーに来るそうだから会いに行ってくるよ。」と話をすると「行ってはダメ！」との返事。
「なんでさ？」と聞くと「僕が先に会いたいんだ！」と微笑ましい返事。
「じゃあ一緒に土曜日に会いに行こう！」と話すと「今週末は忙しいから電話で話すよ。彼に会ったら電話してください。」とのこと。
彼らの遠くそして長い友情物語は、また別の機会に。
By the way, a special senior volunteer involves in new volunteer members.
Senior volunteer activity is specialized in their work career and deep knowledge.
The principal, Ben, is looking forward to meeting him "again" in Ghana.
In the phrase of the last buzzwords-of-the-year contest in Japan, he is a "legend" volunteer for Ben and me.
