第19回日本語弁論大会。
今日はガーナ日本大使館主催の日本語弁論大会を見に行ってきました。
これは日本語を学ぶガーナの人たちに、日ごろの勉強の成果を日本語スピーチとして発表してもらい、他の日本語学習者との交流そして日本をより知ってもらうため、毎年１回開催されているスピーチコンテストです。
今年で19回目になります。
小学生、中学生、一般：日本在住経験、一般：日本在住未経験に分かれてのスピーチ。
みんな流暢に日本語を話していました。
震災の話や、日本の文化、日本とガーナの習慣の違い等さまざまなスピーチがあり興味深く聞くことが出来ました。
Weekend came and I went to Japanese Speech Contest sponsored by Embassy of Japan held in Ghana.
This speech contest is held once in a year for the purpose that Ghanaian studying Japanese can express their learning achievements, exchange information with the Japanese and other Japanese learners.
It was 19th one.
There are 4 categories in the contest, primary school, secondary school and 2 adult: experience in Japan and no experience.
They spoke Japanese fluently without notes.
I enjoyed these speeches such as earthquake disaster, Japanese culture, difference between Japan and Ghana, etc.

またスピーチセクションの間に日本の歌やソーラン節の出し物もあり、スピーチ以外にも楽しむことが出来ました。
今回、弁論大会に参加した学校の指導に当たっている協力隊員によると、生徒がスピーチ用に書いた文章を直したり、暗唱練習したりとここ数か月準備がとても大変だったとのこと。
I also enjoyed the interval program between the categories, Japanese song, comedy show and Soranbushi, a traditional work song of Hokkaido.
I found a Japanese volunteer who teach Japanese in a primary school in Ghana and he told me that it's hard for him to manage his time such as correcting student's speech in addition to his ordinal class.

最後に順位を付けて賞品を授与していました。
順位に関係なく参加者はみんなよく頑張ったと思います。
ガーナの現地語は大きく分けて９つの公用語があり、僕の赴任先の現地語はその中のチュイ語。
僕も彼らが日本語を学ぶようにチュイ語を学んでより良いコミュニケーションがとれればと思っています。
They were ranked by Japanese specialists, depending on their effort but I think all of them achieved great success at the speech contest regardless of the rank.
