ガーナの独立記念日。
今日3月6日はガーナの独立記念日！
ガーナでは独立記念日に各地域の学校対抗でマーチング（行進）大会を行う習わしがあります。
ということで、学校のマーチングの応援に行ってきました。朝7時集合で生徒、引率の先生みんなでバスに乗って会場に移動。
バスの中では生徒たちが途切れなく笛と太鼓に合わせて大声で“カラオケ”していました。
バスの外からも聞こえるくらいの大きな声で。
これは試合前にバスの中で行うのが通例で、自分たちの緊張をほぐすため、そしてモチベーションを上げるためなんだとか。
（因みに帰りのバスは静かでした。）
Today is the independence day of Ghana.
There were many marching competitions at various places in Ghana so I went to cheer our school marching band.
I met students and a supervising teacher at the school at seven, then took a school bus with them.
The students had sung loudly until we arrived at the destination and due to their volume, people on the road seemed to hear their voice.
The supervising teacher told me that it was common practice in order to relax the tension and make themselves motivated.
(They were on the return bus.)

そして朝の8時半から楽器隊のマーチングを皮切りにスタート。
楽器隊の音楽に合わせて各学校の生徒たちが足を上げ手を振って行進していきました。
きれいにそろった足並み、みんな頑張って練習してきたんでしょう。
僕の学校は特別枠での参加で色々な隊形からの行進を行っていました。
やはり自分の所属している学校の生徒たちのきれいに揃った演技を見るのはうれしいものです。
授業後、彼らがグラウンドで頑張って練習していた姿が目に浮かびました。
そんな行進が10時半に終わると、いったん休憩。僕も暑かったので他の生徒と日陰に入っておしゃべりしていました。
At 8:30am, the competition event started with a brass band and marching groups in each school entered the ground one by one.
They walked in step successfully, so I wondered if they must have practiced a lot.
Our marching group joined it as special act and they marched in several ways.
I was very happy to watch their good act in this event because sometimes I saw them practice hard after school for several weeks.
The marching finished at 10:30 am, and they took 30 minutes break time.
It's too hot outside for me so I went into the shade and chatted with students.

そして戻ってきて11時頃から表彰式。小学校、中学校、高校とそれぞれの順位が発表され、1位の学校はそりゃ大騒ぎ！
嬉しさで前転、バク中する生徒もいてみんな盛り上がりました。
順位は付けられましたが、順位に関係なくみんなよく頑張ったと思います。
At 11:00am, the awards ceremony started.
The committee of this event ranked and announced in each school section and the first prize school became very excited!
Some students expressed their cheerful with front and back handspring and somersault!
Regardless of the rank, I gave cheers for all students in the event!
